When Colette Martin shared her story, my heart broke for her. She endured such a horrific event and is using her story to impact change as an Advocate for Violence Against Women. She is a brave and courageous warrior who is creating an exceptional legacy. What a wonderful inspiration to us all.

She's a fierce advocate for those victimized by domestic violence, wielding her voice like a mighty sword against injustice and standing as a beacon of hope for those in need, empowering them to reclaim their strength and dignity.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that the land on which we reside and operate, in New Brunswick, Canada, and in many other territories, is the traditional unceded territory of Indigenous Peoples. Historically, these territories have faced acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing, stolen land, and forced removal by colonizers. However, Indigenous people are still here, resilient and thriving. As an activist, I commit myself to addressing the historical and ongoing systems of oppression that have dispossessed Indigenous people of their lands and denied their rights to self-determination. This work is essential in confronting the legacy of colonization and advocating for justice and reconciliation. We honor Indigenous resilience, culture, and contributions, striving to leave Indigenous people in a stronger, more empowered place by amplifying their voices, supporting their initiatives, and fostering meaningful partnerships. Together, we create a future where Indigenous sovereignty, rights, and cultures are respected and upheld.
